ABOUT THIS PAD
When you're dealing with the deepest scratches, severe oxidation, and serious defects, you need the most powerful tool. The Yellow Hex-Logic Quantum Cutting Pad is our most aggressive and firmest pad, engineered specifically for maximum cutting action. It slices through damaged layers of clear coat, levels the surface, and preps it for the next polishing stages to bring even the most neglected paint back to life.
WHY BUY THIS PRODUCT?
- Maximum Cutting Power: The highest level of firmness in the entire Quantum lineup for the rapid removal of the most severe defects, deep scratches, and oxidation.
- Innovative Quantum Design: Quantum pads are engineered to withstand the immense stress from modern polishing machines. The center-cut Precision Port constantly vents heat, preventing overheating and pad disintegration during intense work.
- The Partner For Abrasive Compounds: Created to work in tandem with heavy-duty compounds and abrasive polishes to achieve maximum results on the first, most critical step of paint correction.
- Hex-Logic Technology: Unique laser-cut hexagonal grooves spread product evenly and ensure constant airflow, which reduces friction and improves the quality of the polish.
- High Durability: Made from ultra-durable foam, this pad withstands intense pressure and lasts longer, even during the most difficult and lengthy jobs.
HOW TO USE
- Center the polishing pad perfectly on your machine's backing plate.
- For best results, lightly prime the pad's surface with Polishing & Buffing Pad Conditioner (BUF301).
- Apply 5-6 pea-sized drops of your favorite Chemical Guys heavy compound or abrasive polish to the pad's face.
- Spread the compound over the working section with the machine turned off.
- Begin polishing at a low speed, then increase it for effective paint correction.
- After the compounding step is complete, always follow up with softer pads (like white or black) and finishing polishes to remove any potential compounding marks and refine the surface to a perfect shine.
- Clean the pad frequently during use with a Foam Pad Conditioning Brush (BUF_300). After the job is done, thoroughly clean the pad with Foam & Wool Citrus-Based Pad Cleaner (BUF333_16).
